Classes

Victoria offers classes and workshops in various styles of
belly dance, folkloric Middle Eastern and Turkish dance, FatChance®Style, and fire dancing,
from beginner to advanced.

Winter 2026 Classes

Starting January 22!

Come and dance! Thursday evenings in KELOWNA.

In this six week session, we will practice and refine foundational belly dance technique and explore a sampler of Egyptian theatrical and folkloric styles. We will work on muscle isolations, foundational dance moves, layering (for experienced dancers), connecting our movements to rhythm and melody, and popular double veil movements. There will be both dancing and discussion, so bring a notebook and pen. This class is open to both new and experienced dancers.

To bring:

  • notebook and pen

  • two veils (ideally, semi circle veils or even better, two semi circle veils sized for double veil work) - I can bring extra veils, but I only have extra rectangular ones. We will only be spending 1-2 hours on double veils, so no need to purchase or make veils unless you want to.

  • a rectangular dance veil and/or melaya leff - no need to purchase this if you don’t already have one.

  • water bottle, hip scarf (optional)

Cost: $95 for the six week session
