We will be in downtown Kelowna for the workshop and show. The airport is a 15-20 minute drive from downtown.
Workshop location:
- Thursday/Friday/Saturday: Rotary Centre for the Arts, 421 Cawston Ave., Kelowna
- Sunday: Centre cultural francophone de l’Okanagan, 702 Bernard Ave., Kelowna

Hotels
Many downtown hotels are walking distance to the workshop and show venues. A few downtown/walking distance away hotels: The Royal Anne (probably nice to deal with), Delta Grand (closest/most expensive), Hotel Zed (farthest/less expensive)
AirBnB
BC changed its AirBnB laws recently, so there are not many AirBnBs available. Book early if you want to stay at an AirBnB.
Food
There are a couple of grocery stores downtown (Safeway on Bernard, Ellis Street Market on Ellis St.) and lots of restaurants, bakeries, coffee shops, pubs and a few specialty grocers.
Regional Activity Ideas
Kelowna in September is lovely.
For Canadians, you’ll find that Okanagan Lake is typically warm enough for swimming still. For Americans, you might find it too chilly, but maybe not! :) There are tons of lovely trails for hiking and biking in the region. The Okanagan is also well known as a wine growing region, and there are an endless supply of wineries to check out if you’re interested in that.
